Little Heathens Strawberry Shortcake
Summertime deliciousness with fresh garden berries
- 2 cup flour
- 2 Tbsp white flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup milk
- Fresh strawberries or raspberries
Heat oven to 450 degrees
Mix dry ingredients and cut in cold butter
Mix in egg and milk, stir until barely moistened
Put in greased 8x8 pan and bake for 16 minutes
Allow to cool, serve with fresh whipped cream and berries.
